| Summary: | Grouping of pictures and tags |
| Description: | Often you have a group of pictures with more or less the same motive. It could be a character in various state of undress. Depending on the tags you use to your search, you might only find one of the pictures instead of the entire series. Also, when you are tagging a series of pictures, it could be nice, if you could define all the tags in common for the pictures one time, so you don't forget a tag for one of the pictures. For this instance, you could tag: 1girl against_wall black_hair dutch_angle embarrassed hair_ornament indoors legs_together red_eyes sidelocks sliding doors solo standing for all the pictures, or you could tag it once for the group, and then in the normal dialog add the differences. When tagging, it could also be nice to be able to see all the pictures in the series in a smaller version on the screen, so you can see the changes in each picture. It could be a function opening in a new window, so you could tag in one window and see the pictures in the other. And last, when browsing, it would be nice to have a next/previous arrow/button above the image or a radio button array to move between the pictures. This way you will be made aware that there are more pictures in the series. |

| Pools does group pictures and show all the images in the pool in a smaller version, but they have almost none of the other features i miss. - You can't update tags that is common for all images in the pool from one dialog. I was seeking a way to merge the tags you see for an image from 2 sources. The tags for the image and the tags from the pool. Let's say all images in the pool have the tags: 1girl, against_wall, black_hair, etc. Then it wasn't necessary to edit all maybe 30 images in the pool. You could just edit the pool's tag list and all images in the pool will inherit the tags as long as they stays in the pool. - Pools are used different than just grouping similar pictures together. Pools group all kind of images together, not just a series where you can see some kind of progress from image to image. |

| Mass tagging and tag merging is deliberately not available to users, only to site staff, to prevent abuse. You can use pools for other things as well, but that doesn't mean that you can't use pools for exactly what you're describing. In fact, what you are describing is exactly what pools were intended to be used for, with other groupings being a nice extra feature. |
