She is part of the 4th generation of Hololive virtual_Youtubers and debuted on December 29, 2019. She was designed by Fu-mi. Like the majority of hololive vtubers, her content consists largely of streams. She is the most musically inclined out of the 4th generation and has a special segment titled Watame no Uta where she sings a short new song each time. She was noted for having a more unstable internet connection compared to her peers, and her frequent disconnects early on helped spawn one of the longest-running jokes about her, one that lasted even after she secured a more stable connection, where she'll cheekily claim that something isn't her fault. This joke eventually led to her creating a series of her own titled Watame Did Borderline Nothing Wrong which are short comedy skits where Watame will do a common place action slightly abnormally/improperly. As a sheep, she is often the butt of prey jokes as several of her fellow vtubers are predator animal girls. She is most commonly portrayed as Shishiro Botan's victim, and the two of them are friendly with each other in spite of the predator/prey dynamic they share. Her streamer model often bobs her head while singing or when she's excited. She loves eating Consomme potato chips and often eats them during streams. She is one of the more sensitive members of hololive, being prone to both happy and sad tears. She is also notable for having a strikingly similar voice to Shigure Ui, something that has been pointed out by fellow vtubers. The two of them have even done streams together.
