Like almost every demon in the Shin_Megami_Tensei series, Naamah is based on the Judeo-Christian demon of the same name. In the Zohar, Naamah is described as a seductress of man, demon, and angel as she laid with the first man Adam and the fallen angel Samael. Similar texts detail that Naamah birthed Asmodeus, a King of Hell and embodiment of the sin of Lust. In SMT V:V, Naamah embodies seduction with a conventionally attractive face and body, though her demonic nature corrupts several parts of her body, as half of her face and torso are skeletal as if puzzle pieces of her body were removed. Still, Naamah is chief among all demons when using skills that charm and/or debuff the enemy. Her signature skill, Capitulate to Pleasure, boasts a high chance to charm every enemy and removes all buffs. The skill's animation is particularly sensual as well, rivalling Cleopatra's Frolic skill from the previous entry. As a master temptress, Naamah constantly tries to seduce the protagonist_smtv to assist in the Qadištu's goals. While she was not the only one, Naamah directly talks to the protagonist about helping her, using a sensual voice and even physical contact all the while.
